QUESTIONS

Common questions.

What to know before you sign up.

How is this different from a personality test?

A personality test sorts you by what you are like. Lumara measures what you need from your work: the conditions that shape how it goes for you, and that you can act on. The read comes from your answers scored against the framework, so it can name something you had not yet put into words.

What will I get?

A written report of your own. There are two report options. A needs profile is a read of what you need from work, your needs across the framework scored in order of what matters most. A needs-and-gaps report takes that further, adding how well your current work meets each need and where the gaps sit. The example report shows what one includes. You will be able to buy either when Lumara opens.

Which report is right for me?

The needs profile is a read of your needs on their own, whether or not you are working. Needs and gaps adds how well your current work meets those needs, so it is for when you are in a job. Between roles, take the needs profile. In a role, take needs and gaps.

Can my needs change over time?

Your needs are fairly stable. They can shift as your life changes, but the bigger change is in how clearly you can see them. A need you have never had denied stays abstract; once you have lived its absence, its weight becomes plain. So a read tends to get truer over time, and because the profile stays yours, you can come back to it as your experience grows.

How do I get in, and what happens after I sign up?

Lumara is in build. Add your email below and you will hear first when it opens, and get the occasional note worth reading in the meantime. Nothing else.
